I have struggled so long, I have been praying and asking God when is my Break Through. I have been encountering ups and downs that have been testing me by faith and obedience. God said “Be still and know that I am God”.
A Break Through isn’t necessarily to instantly solve all of your problems, it could be one situation at a time, by God’s grace and mercy in your life.
God has brought me through many trials and tribulations and I have endured many tests. I believe lately God has been allowing my test to become my testimonies and to teach me patience. My recent test, is definitely a testimony and a Break Through.
I drove to work like normal every day, however when I got off work my vehicle wouldn’t start. Needless to say, knowing he has kept me in the mist of, I couldn’t do my normal fits of rage. I just calmly sat back in the car seat and called my dad to ask if he would pick me up. You know God is working on you when you learn to humble yourself in these types of situations. I was without a vehicle for almost 2 weeks and couldn’t afford to have it towed to a shop.
I had just been assigned to a connect group through church and was excited about attending until my vehicle broke down. Without a vehicle, I was in my feelings so I decided not to attend my first connect group meeting. I didn’t want to ask anyone for a ride, I haven’t had to do that for a long time. I still have a lot of pride and will go without sometimes before I bother anyone. My mom taught me a long time ago, don’t expect others to do for you what you are willing to do for them. As I always say, I am a work in progress.
However, Jesus showed me that by being disobedient and being so prideful I would miss out on God’s blessings. I decided for the next meeting I would ask my son if he would give me a ride there and back. He agreed to drop me off and pick me up afterwards. When he dropped me off, he at the meeting, he even offered to buy me a cup of coffee. I was going to give him the money back since I didn’t use it but I was quickly reminded I need to learn how to accept help. That day at the meeting one of the ladies informed me her son is a mobile mechanic and she gave me his number. What a blessing and a Break Through.
The young man came to my job the following Friday, he found the starter wire was loose on my truck and only charged me $30 to come out and fix it. “Look at God”. You can’t tell me that wasn’t a blessing. God created a connection and a Break Through, He showed me that he was already working on my behalf before I even knew what I needed. I didn’t miss a day of work and in fact I was early every day my vehicle was down.
I experienced a Break Through to understand as God said, “Be still and know that I am God”. I know that if I trust in God and trust that he will make a way then there is no need to worry. If I have faith in him, every single need, he will provide. We may not be able to see how God is moving but just know he’s in the background, working it out for your good.
Be still and have faith for your Break Through
