Cadesha smiled as she walked into the church. She was looking at the tall chocolate man who greeted her and her friend. Ummm umm she thought to herself, oops, I’m sorry God, she laughed as she thought again. They were running late and had to rush in to get seated.
She hadn’t been to church in a while, she just stopped going. She knew is was time to get her life together and let God take control, everything she tried wasn’t working. Cadesha had been much happier since she had let go of some of the drama in her life and started spending more time with God. She wasn’t so distracted with trying to find and keep a man.
She shifted her focus as she heard her friend clear her throat. “Maam I know you are not daydreaming about some dude again” her friend Alisha asked. Cadesha laughed, “no I’m not thank you”. I’ve been spending more time by myself maam, reading or working on my tutorials or just being by myself. I know God has been working on me and I have learned a lot, the teachings have been great for me. I realize with all that I’ve been through when the time is right, this time with God in it, it will be The Right Love.
“Alisha I do appreciate you inviting me to church though, it has really been helping me”. “Girl you know you are welcome”, “if any body understands what you’re going through, you know it’s me”. “Besides, this is what God expects of us, one day it will be your turn to do the same”.
Cadesha looked sideways at her friend, “were going to pray on that one”. They both laughed and turned around when they heard the choir start singing. Cadesha really enjoyed gospel music, it soothed her soul and these days her soul really needed soothing.
