Cadesha was new to the type of teachings from Alisha’s pastor. She enjoyed listening to the word, comprehend more and was able to apply it to her every day life. It was refreshing and gave her a new fire for God and his word. She wanted to learn more, she knew there was so much she didn’t more.
Cadesha used to be a little uncomfortable around Alisha, she felt like she was “holier than thou”. She really didn’t want someone preaching to her and telling her she needed to be saved. Cadesha knew she was not a good christian, she probably spent more time in clubs and out having drinks than she did in church. It wasn’t that she didn’t believe in God she just didn’t like the stigma like she couldn’t have fun and enjoy certain things.
The ladies stood as church was dismissing. Cadesha was a little nervous as the lady sitting next to her hugged her and thanked her for being a visitor. The pastor had asked visitors to raise their hands so members could welcome them and show them love. Cedesha was hesitant at first but decided to go ahead and raise her hand, she was glad she did.
The ladies walked out the of fellowship area and Cadesha saw the pastor mingling with the members. She was shocked, usually in her experience the pastor stays in the pull pit or goes back to the pastor study. The members are not allowed in the pastor’s area, there are only certain people that are allowed.
Alisha saw Cadesha with a strange look on her face and asked what was wrong. Cadesha stopped and whispered, “why is the pastor out with the members”? Alisha laughed out loud. “He doesn’t believe in some of the old traditions, he likes to be out talking to the members getting to know who his members are. “Oh wow”, Cadesha said, even more shocked.
Cadesha suddenly started smiling as the ladies were leaving, she saw the chocolate man standing by the front door that caught her attention when she walked into the church. She was trying her best not to stare at him. She couldn’t help but think to herself, Lord I will be glad when I find The Right Love.
